Let Him Flow….

We tap into our work flow through the dis- covery of our true identity in Jesus Christ. Discovery is a journey that introduces us to purpose and destiny. In actuality, this introduction is a family reunion.

Jeremiah 1:5 (New Living Translation)

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.

According to Wikipedia, flow is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does.

Kingdom Flow

Kingdom terminology recognizes flow as spiritual and can be characterized by complete absorption of who we are in Jesus Christ. When we tap into His Flow we are immersed in all who God is; we lose self- consciousness to gain God-Consciousness.

Who’s most likely to discover their work flow?

A. Mary Adams who works primarily to earn wages and who’s job is not in line with who she is.
B. Patricia Williams who enjoys her line of work, but recognizes promotion as the ultimate goal.
C. Linda Johnson who views her work as an assignment. She believes her service will make the world a better place and is in love with what she does.

C. Linda Johnson who views her work as an assignment. She believes her service will make the world a better place and is in love with what she does.

Because Linda has focused upon the outcome (or the end result) and not the process (or daily activity). She has taken SELF out of the equation which leaves additional room for US.

Work Flow

Work flow is the ability to produce work (in the form of people, products, programs and services) without the effort and exertion of our mindful will.

Authentic Work Flow involves:

Values – Who you deem most important (God).
Interests – Who you enjoy being (like God).
Skills – Your God-given ability to properly execute.
Grace- God’s Ability to do what is not humanly possible.
Remember: We must first become, then do second.

Work is not just a physical destination; work can be viewed as distribution.
The destination of work as distribution (or reproduction) is located at a place called REST (Refer to Isaiah 58:13-14). The Place of Rest in within you.

In order to tap into an authentic work flow, we must distribute (or reproduce) from a place of rest that is void of any distractions that may attempt to stand before US and Our Lord Jesus Christ. Anything or anyone that could possibly become a wedge in our relationship with God has the possibility of hindering the dis-covery of our work flow.
